Our achievements: Since the date of its formation in 2002, ASPB has: ► Fully researched, documented and mapped the distribution of globally endangered Cinereous Vulture (Aegypius monachus) and the globally threatened Lesser Kestrel (Falco naumanni) and identified conservation actions for each of them. ► According to international criteria of BirdLife International identified and documented 18 Important Bird Areas (IBAs) in Armenia. ► Co-chaired the first Regional Training Board Meeting for Central Asia, the Southern Caucasus and Russia in Kazakhstan and contributed to the development of training modules (TOT) for the Training and Awareness component of the project within the framework of the Wings Over Wetlands (WOW) Project – the largest initiative ever to take place in the African-Eurasian region, for the conservation of migratory waterbirds and their critical habitats. ► Facilitated legal signing of MOU on the Conservation of Migratory Birds of Prey in Africa and Eurasia by the RA Government in Abu Dhabi, UAE through the UNEP Convention on Migratory Species (CMS). 28 Armenian Siciety for the Protection of Birds
