OBJECTIVE:

Improve the status of Armenia’s
most threatened birds
At present Armenia hosts a checklist of 352 species of birds, where 27 are
globally threatened and listed in the IUCN Red List, while 95 are included
in Armenia’s Red Data Book (2010). All of these species are of conservation
concern and for most there is insufficient data available on their
conservation status and population size. ASPB’s conservation
program builds on the actions to improve the status of the species,
thus contributing to the halting of the decline of biodiversity loss
in 2020.
