Cool Season
Figure 8 shows external and internal air temperatures for the 12 monitored houses, on which it is
possible to notice an outdoor great daily fluctuation, reaching up to 20°C difference throughout
the same day. During this season, the lowest outdoor temperature registered was 5°C and the
highest was 26.40°C. The indoor temperature followed the outdoor temperature fluctuations but
these were less pronounced; the average maximum temperature of all rooms was 23.32°C and
the average minimum was 15.97°C. Week Five registered the lowest outdoor temperatures, which
has an impact in the indoor climate where the average temperature was 18.40°C. The average
maximum temperature was 22.22°C and the average minimum was 15.47°C. However, from these
graphs it is difficult to judge in which degree the houses offered or failed to provide comfortable
conditions to the occupants.
