Diana
Rankin,
Somerset
West
Chapter
Leader
With
a
degree
in
Human
Resources
and
having
been
in
corporate
for
15
years
managing
a
Psychometrics
Company
Diana
decided
after
many
hours
of
career
counseling
her
clients
to
take
some
of
her
own
advice
-‐
pursue
your
passion.
She
resigned
from
corporate
and
with
the
support
of
her
husband
started
Perfume
Power
in
2011.
The
business
started
with
corporate
and
private
workshops
covering
various
exciting
perfume
topics.
From
there
the
business
grew
with
the
launch
of
her
e-‐
Commerce
business
in
2013
with
close
to
300
products.
Her
main
focus
being
to
import
niche
perfumes
and
elegant
fragrance
accessories
that
are
not
available
in
our
mainstream
stores.
Being
an
entrepreneur
has
been
the
most
exciting
yet
challenging
adventure
of
my
life.
Almost
everything
was
new,
from
importing,
dealing
with
customs
to
advanced
financials.
Very
early
on
in
my
business
I
realized
that
I
could
not
do
it
alone.
I
started
attending
various
business
networks.
The
one
that
very
quickly
stood
out
for
me
was
Xtraordinary
Women.
I
can
honestly
say
I
would
not
be
where
I
am
today
if
it
was
not
for
a
team
of
supportive,
talented
and
like-‐minded
businesswomen.
I
have
had
the
privilege
of
brainstorming
with
women
in
my
Somerset
West
Chapter
over
critical
issues,
afterwards
reaching
solutions
I
would
never
have
come
up
with.
As
the
Chapter
Leader
for
Somerset
West
I
am
filled
with
admiration
as
I
see
women
grow,
challenge
themselves
and
teach
me
many
new
tips
on
how
to
run
my
business.
Somerset
West
ladies
my
advice
to
you
is
that
networking
is
a
non-‐negotiable.
My
invitation
to
each
one
of
you
is
to
be
consistent,
inspiring,
intentional
and
to
leave
a
legacy
of
authenticity!
