River festival choir
Music professionals and singers from the local communities came together at
choirworkshops in Monmouth, Llandogo and Ross on Wye to create a cascade of
sound for the River Festival. Helen Vincent from Singplicity and Ellie Holliday used
their musical virtuosity to mould the singers, some who came from other choirs and
some who had never sung in public before, into a Festival sound. They perform their
watery repertoire at the Hereford launch, Monmouth and the Chepstow finale.

Flags
Artists Becky Prior and Faye Joines visited 11
schools across Monmouthshire,Herefordshire
and the Forest of Dean, following up the
Citizen Science work. They helped the students
create large double-sided flags that referenced
the water life around the Wye Valley.
The designs were made using Cyanotype (also
called blue/sun) printing which has created the
fabulous Festival flags.
