Writers Abroad Magazine Issue 2 March 2015 | Page 2

WRITERS ABROAD MAGAZINE Editorial By Jo Lamb Thank you for reading Writers Abroad Magazine. Our first issue was warmly received and had over one thousand views on the Joomag (online) platform. A few readers completed our feedback form, which was very helpful. So that we can continue to improve the magazine we encourage you to complete our survey (I promise it is short and easy!). A link can be found on the last page. We also welcome readers’ letters, which will be published in our next edition. This second issue is loosely based on the theme of Spring and the concept of new beginnings. We recognise that the seasons depend on where you are in this big world of ours. We hope you enjoy the contributions from Writers Abroad Members and look forward to hearing from you. Finally, we shall be producing an Anthology, entitled Kaleidoscope, this year, focused on the theme of Light (as it’s the International Year of Light). We will be seeking submissions of poetry and fiction only from expat writers. We have chosen the charity Room to Read to receive all proceeds raised from the sale of the Anthology. The submission window will be between the beginning of May and mid-June 2015. If you would like to receive a copy of the Call for Submissions, please sign up by following this link: ‘Kaleidoscope CFS’. Best Wishes Jo P.S. If you haven’t done so already, why not sign up to ensure you receive your free copy of the next issue of WA magazine? SUBSCRIBE TO WA MAGAZINE 2|March 2015
