WRITERS ABROAD MAGAZINE
My heart will always belong to the Rhondda Valley, but my life is here and now
and I am enjoying every moment of my adopted land. What can be pleasanter than
lunching in the sun — beneath the shade of a gazebo or parasol, of course — that
meal taking three or four hours, maybe longer? And what is more relaxing than walks
through orange and lemon, almond and olive groves, greeting familiar faces and
strangers alike? Or balmy evenings on the terrace — drink in hand, chatting with
your husband and sometimes including new found friends and neighbours?
It is a lovely lifestyle which, thus far, suits me well. I hope I will be enjoying it to
the full for many years to come.
