TRAINING Adopting a consistent movement routine will have a positive effect on many aspects of a healthy pregnancy. You’ll have increased energy and reduced fatigue. Your outlook and sense of well-being will greatly improve and you’ll lower the incidence of back pain, edema and leg cramping. Research shows that women who maintain fitness during pregnancy experience a shorter active labour and decreased fetal stress. Fitness YOUR OUTLOOK AND SENSE OF WELL-BEING WILL GREATLY IMPROVE Perhaps what might be on your mind right now is how you’re going to maintain your fitness and bounce back nicely after delivery. If, however, you’re reading this and realizing you haven’t been in a gym in two years, now isn’t the time to start something drastically new. Now is the moment to ease your way into exercise by beginning with just 20 min. of walking per day and building up from there. Aim for 30 min. of exercise most days of the week. You’ll want to create a plan for yourself th
