s the Wyoming Cowboys have prepared for the 2013 season there has been a sense of determination and optimism about the season ahead. The sense of determination came from a desire to return to the success the program had enjoyed in 2011, when the Cowboys were 8-5 overall, earned a berth in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl and finished third in the conference standings behind Top 25 ranked TCU and Boise State. Last season, key injuries derailed the 2012 campaign, but a sense of optimism around the team has been fueled by the return of 15 starters -- seven each on both the offensive and defensive units, plus the team’s starting place-kicker.
