State Superintendent Dr. Tony Evers of cally cuts the ribbon! Students enjoy cookies and punch during the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony After the ceremony, students had the opportunity to walk through the Great Hall, the courtyard and the hallways, peeking in classrooms along the way. One of the best parts of the new building for the elementary students (and their teachers) is ‘the link’ that connects the new building to the library. Coats, hats, boots, gloves/mittens, scarves and snow pants are a must in Wisconsin, but putting them on and taking them off for the trips across campus each day will not be missed! High School students are still marveling at the beauty of their new classrooms and pondering ways to remember the locker combinations! Student laptops, room numbers and bulletin boards are still being set up and installed. The new Chesebro Hall includes space for the school of ce personnel, the Pupil Service Team (PST) and the majority of the high school classrooms. It has state of the art technology, including Wi-Fi and assistive technology items such as: a visual warning system for re, tornado and other emergencies. The project was funded with $4.98 million from the 2011-2013 state budget. Chesebro Hall replaces Walker Hall, which was built in 1911. During Homecoming 2013, WSD staff and students hosted an Open House including many activities such as a tour of the new Chesebro Hall
