Mystery Night G-3 and B-3 staff set up an extremely fun night for WSD’s little ghosts and goblins. They started the evening with trick-or-treating inside the dorm. They paid a visit to all of the staff on each oor hoping to gather heaps of candy. Once they were done, the students had to put their candy away because it was time to eat supper, but the fun was far from over. Upon returning to the dorm, students found apples suspended from the ceiling. Each person chose an apple and stood next to it with their hands behind their backs. Once they were given the green light to begin, they chomped away! Everybody was a winner. Next, a skeleton game was played. Paper bones were hidden on the second oor in the dorm. The boys and girls had to nd them as a team to form a complete skeleton. A Pumpkin Bean Bag Toss Game was set up using a pumpkin with various holes and bags full of seeds. The biggest mystery was a decorated box game. A few boxes were wrapped in solid black material which caused the students to have dif culty in seeing what was inside. Floor staff put various mysterious objects inside the boxes. The kids had to put their hands inside the box to be able to guess what the object was by feeling the object. Treats such as cookies, Chex Mix, crackers, cheese, and Gatorade were provided. Everyone went to bed with a big smile. Dual Nights of Fun! High school dorm staff planned two nights of fun for the students. Kevin Blindert had eight pumpkins which were donated to WSD. Four went to the boys’ wing and four went to the girls’ wing. Each wing split their students into four groups. Groups were given a pumpkin to carve. The goal was to carve the most creative pumpkin. Elizabeth Besaw, Anna Dorst, Cindy Martinez, Camille Kangas and Halina Kangas won the prize even though their pumpkin had a few broken pieces. The girls received springy glasses with eyeballs, mustaches, and sunglasses as their prize. Tuesday students put their creativity into creating costumes. A Halloween party and costume contest lined up for the evening. Anna Dorst won rst place dressed as Phil from Duck Dynasty, Ka Youa won second place
