Huff Happenings by Heather Martens Spread Attention After eating an early supper at WSD, the high school students had their quarterly adventure at Lightspeed Entertainment in Milwaukee. They chased each other while trying to tag them out in the Laser Tag arena. Some also had the thrill of indoor go-kart racing. For those who wanted to just chill, they were given the option of hanging out in the arcade area. The die-hard football fans were glued to the television, which featured the Packers and Bears game. This night was a free-for-all of fun and everyone wanted to go back again. Bouncing All Over! The elementary students paid a visit to Helium Trampoline Park in New Berlin after eating an early supper at WSD. Michelle Johnson, Sandra Waala, and Steven Healy had their hands full with the kids running, climbing, and bouncing all over! Kids returned back to the dorm exhausted but extremely happy. The students can’t wait to return! ABOVE: Tania Rooker bounces on a trampoline. RIGHT: Damon Hopp and Michael Schulze enjoy the indoor go-karts! Rolling Right Along At the conclusion of rst quarter, the middle school dorm students earned a reward activity to visit Skateland, a roller skating rink in Waukesha. Children earned the trip by displaying positive attitude and cooperation with those around them. The group departed right after an early supper in the cafeteria. Carlos Lopez, Eric Hameister, Jenna Miller, and Holly Gerk supervised the event. A few students were experts and went on the rink while others were novices and needed assistance. Those who said they had a lot of fun did not want the night to end. Once students arrived back on campus at ten o’clock, they were shooed into their evening routine of showering, brushing their teeth, and getting into bed. Fall 2013 - 10
