WSD Special Olympics Track & Field
Special Olympics Track
The Special Olympics athletes from WSD competed hard in
two different meets at WSD and at Case High School in Racine.
As a result of their hard work, ve athletes quali ed for state
competition for Special Olympics. The athletes are Anthony Bole,
Brandaun Carter, Andy Coppola, Kadedra Jackson, and Jon Post.
Senior Kadedra Jackson won gold in the turbo javelin in the state
competition! Senior Brandaun Carter threw his way to a sixth place
in the shotput event while sixth grader Anthony Bole received silver
in turbo javelin. Earning a gold medal, sixth grader Jon Post threw
the farthest in the softball throw while eighth grader Andy Coppola
received a fourth place in turbo javelin. The Special Olympics
athletes did WSD proud in their hard work and dedication.
