Berg/Seeger Classic: 2nd place
Participating in the sixth annual Berg/Seeger Classic
in Faribault, the Lady Firebirds achieved second place
out of nine teams. Being consistent, Kori Koss won
rst place in both 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles.
She also placed third in the 200m dash. In the 400m
dash and 800m run, Lyssa Matsche ran to second and
third places, respectively. Marika Beyer won second
in the shot put while running third in 400m dash. Anna
Dorst, Beyer, Alexis Christ, and Matsche relayed their
way to third in the 4x200m. Matsche also took second
place in triple jump.

WSD Triathlon: 2nd place
In the triathlon against DASH and Trinity Academy,
the Lady Firebirds placed second. Kori Koss won the
long jump while Lyssa Matsche won the triple jump.
Marika Beyer threw to a rst place in the shot put
while Alexis Christ took second place. Junior Anna
Dorst took third place in the discus event. WSD also
won rst place in the 4x100m relay. DASH won the
triathlon by 10 points over WSD’s 43 point total with
Trinity ending with only 8 points.
