Home Depot Workshop
On Wednesday, January 11th, two employees
from the Lake Geneva Home Depot came to
WSD. They provided a hands-on workshop
for the elementary students. Students were
given an orange apron and got to choose from
a variety of construction projects. Students
followed printed directions, measured pieces,
and hammered nails. As soon as students
finished their projects, they wanted to start
another. The workshop was a great success.

Leap Year
Wednesday, February 29th students gathered to learn about Leap Year. First, they enjoyed a frog story signed
by ASL specialist, Joel Mankowski. Mrs. Armato explained the concept of “every four years”. Next, everyone
headed to the Round Room to learn how to play Leap Frog.
Leaping while laughing was great fun! We concluded Leap
Day with delicious frog cookies handmade by the ladies in the
cafeteria. Ribbit!
