Elementary School News By Lori Lindau Ghosts, Goblins & Super Heroes Cayden Rawlings shows us his Superman powers. Did you know WSD has ghosts and goblins? Did you know WSD had super heroes? It’s true! The elementary students just could not wait to wear their costumes to school and trick or treat around campus. With awe and excitement, the students enjoyed visiting their principal, the Queen, Marla Walsh. When students visited Connie Gartner and Joan Knowlton’s office, they were transported into a dark and scary science lab with smoking, bubbling glass beakers filled with fingers and toes and creepy crawlies! Ewww! Laela growls and prowls! Super heros and bewitched friends, enjoying a morning of trick-or-treating! Director of Instruction, Connie Gartner, checks her bubbles and troubles! I Dream of an Earth Where … The 4th graders read the story, Just a Dream by Chris Van Allsburg. In the story, a boy who takes his planet for granted falls asleep and travels from one foul smelling place to another. When he awakes, he immediately has a new respect for the Earth and begins recycling and planting trees. He dreams of a world where mowers do not have engi
