Girls High School Basketball
First Half of the Season
1-7
WSD vs. Rock County Christian 32-50
WSD played competitively against Rock County for a
large part of the game. During the first half, the scores
were tied 16-16. WSD fell behind during the second
half being outscored 16-34. Sophomore guard and
forward KaYoua Xiong led the team with 11 points
and 7 rebounds. Freshman guard, #14, Elizabeth
Besaw assisted with 9 points and 7 rebounds.
WSD vs. Minnesota Deaf 13-43
WSD was put back flat on the mat by Minnesota Deaf.
The Trojans outscored WSD in every quarter of the
game. Amanda Feliciano led the team with 7 points
and 8 rebounds.
WSD vs. Iowa Deaf 16-39
WSD stayed flat on the mat in the loss to Iowa Deaf.
Amanda Feliciano took the reins of the team with 10
points and 6 rebounds in an attempt to fight back. The
Bobcats dominated WSD throughout the game.

WSD vs. Trinity Academy 17-39
WSD vs. Mountain Top 10-49
WSD was badly crushed by Mountain Top. The
tone of the game was set during the first half when
Mountain Top crushed WSD 24-2. Senior center and
forward Amanda Feliciano took charge of the team
with 8 total points and 6 rebounds.
WSD vs. Metro Deaf 30-16
WSD earned its first victory of the season with a
convincing win over Metro Deaf. Metro Deaf was
limited to exactly 4 points each quarter throughout
the game. WSD earned 8 points during first and
third quarters and 7 points during second and fourth
quarters. Amanda Feliciano, #12 led the Firechicks
with 13 points and 8 rebounds. KaYoua Xiong,
#22, assisted with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Senior
guard and forward Hannah Rees rebounded 7 times.
Sophomore guard Anna Dorst stole 6 times and
rebounded 4 times. Senior guard and forward, #24,
Janessa Guza chipped in 3 total points.
Winter 2012 - 22
Trinity ruled WSD in this game. Trinity significantly
outscored WSD in every quarter of this game. Senior,
Amanda Feliciano was the leading scorer for WSD
with 10 points and 11 rebounds. KaYoua Xiong merits
a mention with 5 points and 7 rebounds.
WSD vs. Eastbrook Academy 20-36
Eastbrook Academy ensured a victory by outscoring
WSD during the first three quarters of the game.
WSD fought back during the fourth quarter but it was
not enough to snatch a victory. Eastbrook outscored
WSD by 34-13 at the end of the third quarter. WSD
tried to climb back during the final quarter with a 7-2
