Washington E.C.C.

A young child starting Pre-K brings a sense of wonder and curiosity about the world. Washington Early Childhood Center (W.E.C.C.) teachers are beginning to tap into that curiosity by conducting age-appropriate science experiments and exploring the scientific method with their Pre-K students. They are creating a learning environment with opportunities for students to investigate, ask questions, and experiment.

Ms. Carrizales’ and Mrs. Whitney’s Pre-K class explored the concept of heat and lack of oxygen. By collecting their data and investigating their hypothesis, each student was able to record their data and document what they saw when conducting their science experiment.
