Ontario Parks

On July 15, all operating Ontario Parks will offer free day-use for visitors. Parks across the province will offer events and activities that encourage people to visit parks and be active. Free fishing

From July 2-10, Canadian residents can fish in Ontario without buying a licence. People participating must follow conservation catch limits and obey all size limits and sanctuaries and follow regulations. Find out more here: https://www.ontario.ca/page/licence-free-family-fishing

Parks Day

On July 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., people can take part in the Parks Day Adventure Challenge at Pukaskwa National Park for a day of hiking, puzzle-solving and interactive games. Located on the shores of Lake Superior at Heron Bay, Pukaskwa is the only wilderness national park in Ontario and protects 1,878 square km of an ecosystem that features boreal forest and Lake Superior shoreline. Summer fun all season long

At Gordon’s Park on Manitoulin Island, there is something for everyone happening all summer long. From Aug. 5 -8, the park hosts its premier star event, the Manitoulin Star Party. This event includes a reception, potluck dinner and tours and camping in the Dark Sky Preserve in the interior of the park away from light pollution, and provides mind-blowing feasts for the eyes and senses.
