I worked as an admin assistant before I was made redundant. This all happened at the right time for me, as I had wanted a career change and to make a better life for me and my children. My time at college has given me great confidence and fantastic new experiences. It’s really opened new opportunities for me. As a bonus, I’ve made good friends and had great support from both students and lecturers. A highlight of the course, for me, was taking part in a work experience placement at The Prince’s Trust at Ayr Campus. It was fantastic working with young people and supporting them has been brilliant. I loved it so much that I have stayed on to volunteer as a peer mentor. I’m so happy that I’m going on to university to start a degree in psychology. The support I’ve received at Ayrshire College has been second to none, and I’m really proud that I’m going on to a career that I’ve always wanted. 1 3 2 4
