Youth and community
Adventure Learning doesn ’ t stop when schools break up . Working closely with social housing associations , youth services , national initiatives and other charities , we run programmes all through the holidays for disadvantaged children and young people .
Building leaders
In April 2016 we partnered with the Willmott Dixon Foundation to deliver a residential programme in Wales to enhance the life chances of 30 disadvantaged young people ( aged 16 – 24 ) from across the UK . The programme ’ s aim was to develop skills such as communication , teamwork and leadership , as well as improving resilience and determination and strengthening citizenship .
We carried out an evaluation of this programme which helped to show the impact Adventure Learning had on the young people :

38 %

could communicate more effectively

75 %

became more confident

33 %

were better able to cope with setbacks

75 %

felt happier after their experience
Throughout the week my goal was to interact with new people and to take part in all of the challenges . I believe I succeeded with these challenges and feel proud of myself and my team . Thank you for this opportunity .
