JAN . 27 If you ’ re feeling musical , Hannah Georgas will be gracing the stage with her keyboard skills and enchanting voice in the NAC Studio . Georgas has been nominated for multiple Junos and promises not to disappoint .
Q : Who is your favourite Canadian artist or group of all time ? ND : Sum 41 is a classic for a lot of us in the band . They were apart of the major movement in pop music in that era that really brought out some rock and punk edge . Also seeing a band out of Canada grow to a level of success internationally like that is really inspiring . Y : A three-way-tie between Arcade Fire , Rush , and Sloan : a little string section , a little nerd-rock , and a splash of coke fizz .
L : That ’ s a tough one for sure but would have to go with Joni Mitchell . I ’ ve been listening to jazz lately and some Oscar Peterson as well , so he ’ s a close second . Honestly though , it depends on the day of the week and these names change all the time . Because I ’ m a Canadian rapper though , I would have to say my favourite Canadian rap group is Citizen Kane . march / april 2017 where . ca 35
