Members of the entire industry and APTG Montreal partners were present to celebrate at the oldest brewery in

North America, Molsons. The Mayor of Montreal, Mr Denis Coderre, was made an honorary member, the 2 for
the APTG Montreal association. Not only have our
colleagues in Canada been celebrating ITGD on 21
th
February, but this year marks the 20 anniversary
th
since the very successful 7 WFTGA Convention held
there in 1997! In addition, Montreal is celebrating its
th
375 Anniversary, while Canada itself is its marking
th
150 Anniversary. Congratulations to the entire team
in Montreal!

FRANCE ITGD 2017
2016 was a difficult year for the professional tourist guides in France after the at-
tacks and big changes in our legislation. That is why in Paris we have decided to look
forward to the joy rather than to look back the hopeless. We decided to celebrate
this INTERNATIONAL TOURIST GUIDE DAY with a party in where more than 50
guides were dancing and having fun with the hope the 2017 will be full of joy for
the professional tourist guides around the whole world.
In Lyon some guides were more serious and responsible and decided to promote
our profession.
