Home

When Michael and Michelle Sevret purchased their new home in Wayne , they knew that they wanted to transform the space into something more personal and functional for themselves and their four children . They called upon the talents of many local professionals , including interior designer Mona Johnson of White House Living in Wayne , tocreate awarm and inviting haven by the lake .

“ Michelle had agood vision for her home and some very specific needs ,” Johnson says .“ We worked so well together . She shared her ideas and we created afloor plan that would be unique to her home .”
FAMILY ROOM
The rectangular family room , with its beautiful views of the pool and yard , was achallenge .
“ We divided the room and created two separate seatingareas , yet kept the beautiful open feeling ,” Johnson says .“ This is one of my favoriterooms in the home , wherethe children as well as the adults have beautiful comfortable seating and can enjoy the room together .”
It features American-made upholstery , giving the space somany fabric and shape choices . The two custom rugs tie the two areas together . Because the family lives by the lake , deep blues and watercolors were used in one side of the space . The colors aredark and durable for kids . The other side is lighter to establish contrast . The chandelier and window treatments are a beautiful finishing touch to the space . ➤
