Dr . Maldonado , who has been practicing for more than three decades , likes to think of his patients as family .“ I ’ m still treating many of my original patients , only now those numbers also include their children and grandchildren . So we have an ongoing history together ,” he notes .
Cited as one of Consumers Research Council of America ’ s Top Dentists in America for 18 consecutive years , Dr . Maldonado employs the very latest technology like Kodak 9000 cone beam 3-D Dental Imaging that allows for minimally invasive , precise placement of implants and restorations . He trained at Columbia University ’ s School of Dental and Oral Surgery where his expertise was acknowledged early on when he garnered the Rowe-Wiberg Award for Excellence in Prosthodontics . A strong believer in the value of continuing education , he completed a residency in dental implants under the guidance of Dr . John Minichetti at the Center of Implant and Reconstructive Dentistry in Englewood .
Dr . Maldonado is an active member of the American Dental Association , American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry , Academy of General Dentistry , New Jersey Dental Association , Passaic County Dental Association and the New Jersey Pankey Study Group .
His “ team ” ( that Dr . Maldonado speaks of so highly ) is led by front office coordinator Renata , who is a lifetime member of the American Association of Dental Office Managers and was named recipient of that organization ’ s prestigious Fellowship Award in 2012 . A dental hygienist since 2007 , Maryrose is a graduate of Bergen Community College and is currently studying for her bachelor ’ s degree at Rutgers-SHRP .
Fellow dental hygienist Joann has worked in the dental field for more than 25 years and joined Dr . Maldonado ’ s team in 2007 . Certified dental assistant Lori received certification and training from Berdan Institute and has worked with the doctor since graduating in 1988 . Registered dental assistant Teresa began her career in 2001 and went on to earn her dental radiography license and dental assisting certification . Teresa has been with Wayne Dental Arts since 2010 .
