The Pain Management Center at Chilton Medical Center has helped hundreds of individuals reclaim their independence

Chronic pain can disrupt your sleep , affect your work and relationships , and limit your daily activities . Furthermore , living with persistent pain can leave you feeling irritable , anxious , forgetful and exhausted .

The National Academy ofMedicine reports that approximately 100 million Americans suffer from chronic pain , more than those with diabetes , heart disease and cancer combined . Pain places an enormous emotional and financial burden on patients and their families , as well as costs the nation billions each year in medical treatment and lost productivity . Surprisingly , only 25 percent of those who suffer from chronic pain seek medical care . Many people simply aren ’ teducated about of the options available to them .

Hanna , an anesthesiologist and pain management specialist who completed apain management fellowship at Brigham and Women ’ sHospital , Harvard Medical School , and who previously practiced medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital , Harvard Medical School , the pain management team at Chilton Medical Center works in partnership with referring physicians to identify the underlying cause of both simple and complex problems . “ We then develop apersonalized plan of care that includes the latest interventions and discoveries in research to provide optimal care to help patients find the relief they need in acompassionate environment ,” headds .
