Located in an old Friendly ’ s , The Little Food Inn is a stand-alone restaurant on Newark Pompton Turnpike in Pompton Plains . The menu is extensive and features everything from avocado toast and Huevos rancheros for breakfast , to sandwiches , wraps and soups for lunch , and meatloaf , pot pies , coconut curry salmon and fried chicken and waffles for dinner . For the health conscious , try the power quinoa bowl or one of their salads . “ I ’ ve always had a passion for cooking ,” saysowner Dana VanDecker , who runs the business with her husband Aaron . “ I travel to Vermont a lot , and love the feeling of cozy French country décor . I wanted to translate that in our restaurant .”
