Home LOWER LEVEL This room was designed as another family room. Deleon added the birdcage as a statement piece and focal point. A velvet sofa in baby blue and silver hues “gives the room pure equilibrium,” says Deleon, whose interior design philosophy is “to keep it simple by incorporating many elements into each individual’s design style.” GREAT ROOM The designer made sure to bring a bit of personal heritage to the home by showcasing a recently shot black-and-white photograph by Steve Lyons, “reminiscent of Cuba, a place that once stood still in time,” says Deleon. The vast and spacious sectional in white gives the room a wider feel while gray and silver tones add elegance and style. “The high ceiling made room for a great conversation piece, as there is certainly much more to talk about, with the cool lighting work by artist Billy Cotton,” says Deleon. > WAYNE MAGAZINE MAY 2017 45
