Newly hired William Paterson music faculty member Jeremy Pelt is recognized as one of the most notable young trumpeters in jazz, voted Rising Star five years in a row by Downbeat Magazine and the Jazz Journalist Association. Pelt collaborated with some of jazz’s greatest masters and frequently performs with ensembles like the Roy Hargrove Big Band and the Duke Ellington Big Band. This big band concert will feature the premiere of three new arrangements of Pelt’s compositions by William Paterson masters level arrangers.
