Mr Garreth Jacobson
Sometimes, sadly, we have to bid a premature and
reluctant farewell to colleagues because of circumstances beyond both their and our control. Victoria
Park has had to lose a Head of Department owing
to a Departmental ruling and for various technical
reasons, and regrettably this has happened to one of
our finest teachers.
you feel special and encourages you to be the best
you can be! An amazing man, who can accomplish
anything he sets his mind to.”
Last year, Mr Jacobson was chosen to be part of a
Rotary group that went to California and represented South African education. This highlights that he
is a real team player and how he gives one hundred

in the school.

dynamic breath of fresh air blew into the corridors
of VP, in the form of Mr Garreth Jacobson (from
Westering High) as Head of the Geography Department. He has been a wonderful influence in this role,

way to help and grabs every opportunity. He is very
well-mannered and always looks smart. He makes
On the sporting front, Mr Jacobson has dedicated
many hours to VP rugby, which he is passionate
about – as both Head of Rugby for the past six years
and as the coach of the first XV for the past two
years. It is not surprising that he is a fitness fanatic
(our very own Energade bunny!) having completed
his fourteenth Comrades marathon and also finishing his fourth Ironman this year!
