VPHS 10 draw against D.F Malherbe in between. It was the match against Woodridge that proved to be the turning point of our season, with our team showing great intensity and utter determination to win the match 36-19. The following weekend, Victoria Park 1st team raised the bar even higher, by beating Union High 11-10 in a thrilling match. Our side continued on their winning streak with a third and fourth win in a row against Kirkwood (22-14) and Newton Tech (29-15) - both being away matches. Our last two matches were against two teams that had performed extremely well during the 2014 season and saw us losing by large margins against Muir and Alexander Road High. During the duration of the season, our first team showed much determination and commitment to each other and their school, led by their captain Chase Booth (13) and vice-captain Tilson Diken (7). Mention must also be made of Sesona Macala, who added much value to our forward pack, playing in the number eight jersey. Congratulations to our 1st rugby side on a successful 2014 season and on their being awarded the most improved V.P 1st team! Mr G Jacobson 203
