Welsh,Dee Kotze(Captain), Erin Smith The paddlers had another good year, paddling on both North End Lake and at sea. Special mention must be made of Dale and Dee Kotze who, apart from their contribution as competitors, have made a huge contribution to paddling with their enthusiasm and willingness to help the other less experienced paddlers. Both of the above paddled time trials and The Breakfast Series as did Joshua Bellairs and Daniel Jones. Dee is consistently one of the best schoolgirls in the Eastern Cape and Daniel is improving so rapidly that he is already finishing high amongst the senior male competitors at time trials. Dee successfully completed the very demanding Fish River Marathon, something no VP pupil has done for the past twenty years. All of the above also competed at the National Surf Lifesaving Championships where they achieved well in the paddling events.
