VPHS 2nd Team the excellent work done by old scholar, Daniel Jackman. I can honestly say that every player benefitted from his input at match time and during high quality training sessions. I would like to conclude by thanking all parents, teachers, learners and in particular Mr Vermaak for enjoying a wonderful season of hockey with me. We all know that we have lost some fantastic senior players. However, I am excited to see what the young players of talent have in store for us in the season to come. Let us train hard as a UNIT and go forward onto new success! Human, Dino Rossi (Captain), Mr J.Ross, Caleb Smit, Siya Mkencele Absent: Wakiwe Mfazwe, Tristan Cammons and Keenu Bogusch A young group of second team players strolled onto the field in 2014 and have proven to possess no small amount of guts. Admirably led by Dino Rossi (captain) and Whakizwe Mfazwe (vice captain), the second team matured this year from a group of disparate young men into an impressive unit. All credit for this phenomenon must go to Mr Justin Human, the second team coach. Mr Human is unique in that he is able to interact on a personal level with the players as well as keep a no-nonsense air of discipline. A player of no small talent himself, Justin has nurtured some strong talent and more importantly, has taught the lads how to be a team this year as well as play as one. His tireless and relaxed leadership led the boys to some impressive wins this year, most notably against an always dangerous Woodridge. I look forward to a strong 2015 season as the second team continues to mature and begins to dominate the fast paced game of hockey. Mr Jordan Ross Manager 156
