One-Act Plays
Festival
The Plays Festival opened the Arts Festival on
Thursday 15 May and featured four well-chosen
one-act plays, directed by Dramatic Arts pupils
where directing forms one of the courses covered.
Sikho Gaika and Makaziwe Nyingwa directed
comedies ‘The Good the Bad and the Soapy’ and
‘Nobody Famous’; and Amy Huntly and Nadia Mila
directed sensitive, more serious plays ‘Escape by
Moonlight’ and ‘Baby in the Basement’ respectively.
The adjudicators, Linda-Louise Swain and Sharon
Rother, made the following awards:
