Tate Roelofse, Zintle Mbinyashe, Kwezi Hompa,
Anathi Ngcozela and Zintle Pangwa. Thank you
for the years of hard work and dedication to the
band.
The Senior Steelband enjoyed performing at numerous functions this year. They were asked to performed at the Algoa FM “Algoa Cares Summer
Charity Golf Day” fundraiser at the Humewood
Golf course on the 6th March. The pupils enjoyed
entertaining the guests as they completed a round
of golf.
Junior Steel Band
In May, the band performed at a function for the Rotary Club of Port Elizabeth Sunrise at the beautiful
PE Club in Bird Street. Both senior and junior bands
also performed at the PE Eisteddfod which was held
in August at Grey High School. Performances also
took place at school functions such as the Open Day
and the Arts Festival in May. Congratulations to
the recipients of the new Steelband Trophies: Most
Improved Junior Band member and Most Improved
Senior Band member.
