VOL Students Use Art To Encourage Others
To Respect Life
Every year the VOL Respect Life Committee sponsors a Prayer Card Contest for VOL Students, who submit original
drawings and prayers that help to illustrate the importance of respecting life. Congratulations to VOL students Olivia
Couvillion, who designed the winning illustr ation, and Jessica Foret, who penned the winning pr ayer . The illustration and prayer have been printed on cards and were recently distributed via the parish bulletin. If you did not get a
prayer card, or would like extras, some are available in the literature rack in the back of church.

The Spirit of Giving

The St. Thomas More Council of
the Knights of Columbus recently
donated a check for $500 to St.
Alphonsus Catholic School in
Greenwell Springs, Louisiana,
which suffered major damage
during the August flooding.
Visitation of Our Lady parishioners
visited St. Alphonsus several times
after the flooding to feed residents
and help with cleanup.
