APRIL 2017
Former VOL Student Named Head Football Coach at
Archbishop Shaw High School
Tommy Connors has a real passion
for football, and it shows. At the young
age of 28, his accolades are too numerous
to count. Beginning in high school, Tommy
received dozens of All-District, All-Metro,
All-State and All-Star awards.
In high school, he was one of only
two freshmen on the Shaw Eagles’ football
team to be selected to the All-Southland
Conference Team. Tommy received a
scholarship to Southeastern Louisiana
University, where his exceptional skills did
not go unnoticed. A four-time All-
Southland Conference selection, Tommy
ranks third in Southeastern’s history for
tackles and ninth for his interceptions.
