Vision Zero and You
Everyone has a role to play in traffic safety . From the choices you make while moving through Los Angeles to the conversations you have with a neighbor , we must all do our part to save lives . Organizations and individuals have actively worked toward creating safe streets and healthy communities in Los Angeles . Many more groups and residents are getting involved in this work every day to make Los Angeles a safer place to walk , bike , take transit , and drive .
But the City cannot accomplish this alone . To support a collective effort , the City of Los Angeles has engaged with a diverse group of organizations and individuals to partner on the road to Vision Zero . The American Automobile Association has been a key member of our Vision Zero Task Force and Education Subcommittee . We hear from parents , teachers , and principals about safety near schools through our Safe Routes to School program . Several communitybased organizations have united to form the Los Angeles Vision Zero Alliance , a coalition of diverse organizations and individuals working in partnership with the City of Los Angeles to realize Vision Zero . The group is helping to bring together community members with a wide range of strengths , interests , and skills to develop a united constituency for safe and equitable streets .
