2015 was a transitional year, during
which the structure of the V-Day
campaigns began to shift to an even
more autonomous, activist-based
model. In over 1000 locations,
college and community activists
performed benefit productions of The
Vagina Monologues and A Memory, A
Monologue, A Rant, and A Prayer.

V-Day Taconic, a New York-based
effort led by local activists, held an
exclusive performance of The Vagina
Monologues at Taconic Correctional
Facility, a medium-security women’s
prison in Bedford Hills, NY, for the
women at the prison. The event
featured an inclusive cast of actors
including formerly incarcerated
women, trans women, and activists.
