Interview with MEP Iveta Grigule Head of Delegation of European Parliament for relations with Central Asia countries: «The sovereignty of Uzbekistan - is a huge and very important achievement that must be protected and valued». - Independence and statehood - is the most valuable achievements, that humans can dream about. Because there are more than two thousand people and nations in the world, but their own state have only more than two hundred of them. Therefore, the sovereignty of Uzbekistan - is a huge and very important achievement that must be protected and valued. I believe that it is necessary to know its history, its roots for the prosperity of the state. Since the roots do not grow without a tree, without them there is no family, there is no country without a history. Uzbekistan has an ancient and rich history. This is a solid foundation laid over two thousand years ago, is so strong that we, Europeans, have no doubt that your country for centuries has been and will be thriving because it honors its traditions, preserve culture and spiritual values. I am sure that the Republic of Uzbekistan has a great future. Independence has opened unlimited opportunities for the construction of a free, prosperous life of the 18 population and a prosperous democratic society. For the state to successfully develop and flourish in the first place, it is necessary to have a peace and stability. We see how many people are killed today in the conflicts in different parts of the world, we see the effects of the ongoing economic crisis. In this connection I would like to emphasize that Uzbekistan plays an important role in ensuring security and stability in Central Asia. Therefore people say that your republic - is the heart of the region. As a result of its efforts a peace and tranquility exists in the country. Decisions of Uzbekistan not only affect its own sustainable development, but also for the benefit and prosperity of the whole region. This year is very significant, since the people of Uzbekistan will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Independence of their homeland. In this regard, allow me, on my own behalf and on behalf of my colleagues, the Members of European Parliament, wish happiness, health and prosperity to every home and family living in your country. If they are happy and healthy, then the state will flourish and grow. I wish that Uzbekistan stay the main and stabilizing country in the region that will continue to ensure peace and security in Central Asia. Also, I wish for the Head of your state a good health and success in achieving the goals of the country, which are of great importance not only for Uzbekistan, but also in addressing many global issues. I think that the Republic headed by the President will reach even greater successes along this way.
