CAREER FAIR PARTICIPATION
In Fall 2015, we participated in two VDOT Career Fairs in Northern Virginia and Hampton. Center personnel interacted with over 600 students.
VISTING LOCAL SCHOOLS WITH SUSTAINABLE
MATERIALS MODULES
Structures Lab Manager, Dr. Andrei Romiceanu, is developing modules related to sustainable materials to use in visiting local schools. The idea is that after a short
instruction period, students will select materials and develop their own concrete speci mens. After a four week period of concrete curing, the students will visit UVA and
be able to test their specimens in our structures laboratory.
