NINE SUMMER UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCHERS
FROM UVA, MSU, ODU, AND GT
UVA had nine undergraduate summer researchers in our inaugural Mid-Atlantic Transportation Sustainability
University Transportation Center Undergraduate Summer Research Program. Four of the students joined
us from other universities and lived on Grounds. Each of the students was paired with a faculty mentor and
they spent nine weeks on a research project. In addition to the project, they attended tours, participated in
weekly sessions and the Journal Club. Each student wrote a research report and presented a poster and
oral presentation at the End of Summer Symposium.
