The women would milk cows and sheep, feed the hens, collect eggs,
make clothing and in the summer would smoke and salt food to preserve
over the winter. In the evening they would spin and weave by the fire.

The children did not go to school but would go collect fire wood and
stopped the birds eating seeds and gather wild food. Many children died
young.
