Each April, the nation celebrates our unique American-born art-form known is JAZZ. In North Texas, DJAM is celebrated. April 8th Dallas Jazz Appreciation Month organizers annual Open House and Free Concert. The consortium of Dallas' top jazz presenters use the open house as a way to celebrate Dallas' jazz professionals, musicians, benefactors and enthisiasts.
2017 saw the awarding of four new Jazz Legend winners. Four categories are acknowledged annually: Jazz Artist, Jazz Educator, Jazz Supporter and Jazz Innovator:
