Develop interests and passions.

When you're struggling with low self-esteem, it can be difficult to feel interested in activities or feel that you deserve to have fun. But you do! There are so many things to do in this world: collecting, arts and crafts, games, sports, performing arts, music, etc. Try things until you find one that feels right. If nothing else, it will help you alleviate stress, but you might fall in love with it and develop a lifelong passion.

Be informed and learn as much as you can.

Learning about things going on in the world around you broadens your perspective on life and helps you speak intelligently on a wide variety of subjects. Feeling confident that you have a good understanding of the world and current events can help you feel worthy of respect from others and yourself. Educate yourself, and you'll be equipped to seize future opportunities or find resources if you ever need help. All this can contribute to a healthy sense of self-respect over time.
