WYOMING’S MUSEUMS CELEBRATE
THE HISTORY OF THE WEST
National Museum of Wildlife Art
The NTA membership includes three Wyoming museums that use art and history to offer
unique perspectives on the American West.
The Museum of the Mountain Man in Pinedale is run by the Sublette County Historical
Society, the oldest historical society in Wyoming. The museum’s exhibitions trace the
development of the region, including detailed perspectives on the Plains Indians, the Oregon
Trail and mountain men. Special programs are held throughout the year, including the Green
River Rendezvous each July, which includes lectures, demonstrations and re-enactments.
