SAN FRANCISCO
San Francisco Museum of Modern Art
San Francisco’s museum scene added another
gem in May when the Museum of Modern
Art reopened following an extensive refresh.
More items from its internationally recognized
collection of more than 30,000 works are on
display in the new areas, which were part of the
renovation that more than doubled the size of
the attraction.
Thanks to the expansion, visitors can see
one of the world’s greatest private collections
of contemporary art, the Doris and Donald
Fisher Collection. The new Pritzker Center
for Photography houses thousands of iconic
images in the largest space in an American art
museum dedicated to photography.
Additionally, the museum offers a number of
specialized tours and hands-on experiences for
groups.
