Most photographers tell horror stories of things that go wrong at wedding but Jim just laughed and said: "You know it is funny but we have never had a big disaster at a shoot. I think it is because we prepare so much and are always upgrading our equipment. We always bring back up equipment (cameras, lens , flashes, flash cards, ect). We

always go to the wedding rehearsal so that we will not be surprised by anything during the ceremony. For our romance

days, we always spend time with the couple before the shoot so we will all feel comfortable with each other. I think all these measures help insure a great shoot!!"

What advice can Jim and Phyllis give to those wanting professional photography?

"Getting lots of sleep is a great idea." Phyllis added. "You do not want to look exhausted the day you’re being photographed. Also, be responsible with what you’re doing the night before. You might want to limit the adult beverages, especially if the session is outdoors in the Florida sun. Also stay out of the sun the few days before the shoot. A tan is great but a sunburned face is not so great. For guys, don’t think a baseball cap will help. I once had a groom with a red face and a white forehead. It was not a great look although, we could lessen the look in post production.
