The 2015 Walk MS DuBois was held at the Lakeview Lodge and Conference Center on Sunday, April 26th. The day was perfect. The weather was just right for people who suffer from MS. No rain and not too hot. This year we raised over $28 ,000 at the walk and expect more donations to be mailed in before the June 12th deadline. We had approximately 375 walkers, volunteers and vendors at the walk this year.

We had a few changes this year. We had two food lines and the distribution of the food and drinks was much faster. We had a record number of raffle baskets and raised over $1000 from those ticket sales. We were happy to welcome four vendors (two drug reps and two health care reps) at the entry way of the Lakeview Lodge. They had many freebies including back packs and water bottles, as well as a lot of printed information about new medications for the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis.

We need to thank all of our food, drink and raffle basket donors and all the volunteers for everything they did for the walk this year. It was an outstanding turnout. Treasure Lake is a great venue and always so supportive. This year the Lakeview Lodge donated some of the pizzas for our walkers. The maintenance department made sure that the walk was clean and the security department made sure that it was safe. A special thank you to the DuSan Ambulance service who have participated with volunteers and an ambulance to follow our walkers for the last 20 years.

We also want to thank State Representative Matt Gabler for kicking off our walk. And as very special thanks to our own Cayman Campground Bear, Dumpster, who delighted all the kids!
