•Charlotte Bushong Family Life Center•
Residents, who would like to play indoor sports such as basketball, volleyball, etc., need to look no further than the Charlotte Bushong Family Life Center. This building is currently under construction on Bay Road next to the Treasure Lake Church. The full size gymnasium and classrooms should be completed early 2015. This facility will soon be available to the public for activities throughout the year and should help make the winter months more enjoyable for team sports and other activities. Recently our young adults who participated in the Wounded Warrior Project hosted The Almighty challenge, which was a 5.4 mile race designed for those who have participated in the Tough Mudder competition. The response for the race was good and all the participants, young and old, enjoyed the experience. Many young adults have trained throughout the winter for the Tough Mudder at our current facility. The Treasure Lake Community can look forward to other activities of this nature throughout the year.
Families with young children can also anticipate the opening of a fully staffed day care center and pre-school sometime in the near future. This will be a welcome addition to our community so young children can be cared for in a place close to home where they can meet and play with other children in their own neighborhood.
Our facilities have already been available for meetings of groups such as Crown Resorts and Lakeshore Community Services. Many couples who live at Treasure Lake were married at the Treasure Lake Church and had their reception in our Fellowship Hall or the Lakeview Lodge. Come drive by and take a look at the new construction project and check us out on Facebook at Treasure Lake Church. Feel free to join us at one of our worship services at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. We anticipate the Charlotte Bushong Family Life Center to be an integral part of life in the Treasure Lake community.
